80 years young

Well the sun has shone for the 3rd day running up here on the hill. Still a bit breezy, but we get used to that. Had a lovely visit from Kieron and Nina this afternoon. They look so happy it is really lovely to see. Spent a couple of hours looking at their honeymoon photo's. Fabulous Darling lol

This is a card and a necklace I have made for my friend, who is also my next door neighbor. Hazel was 20 years of age on Coronation day. We have been friends since  we moved in next door to each other, on the same day 38 years ago. The is a very simple one but I hope it's effective. The roses I made from pearlized paper. The main paper is one I have had for a long time, and thought it was to nice to cut up. You all know what I mean, we all have paper like that lol  The insert I did on CAP. The Necklace is Coral shell, red Jasper rounds and pearls.

I hope you will leave me a comment good or bad, preferably good lol x

  1. Ooo she will love these Joan. Very pretty and most attractive. The insert is also lovely... I think we card makers can sometimes let ourselves down when we spend so much time on the front of a card and don't bother with the inside! It makes a big difference.
    All...'Fabulous Dahling'lol x

  4. She is also a card maker. So I hope she doesn't find to many faults. I will have to bang the wall so that the lid of her piano falls down otherwise. I never ever make a card without an insert. I do feel it finishes it off. This card is an 8x8 so a bit more awkward to do the insert as I would have liked.

  11. Well, JayDee, First of all I can relate to you about paper and I think I love yours even in the picture so must be more so in real life!! However, you have used it for a dear friend and made a simply stunning card. I love to make card inserts when I can and yours is just lovely. What a great story about moving in on the same day and still being neighbours today just lovely to have a connection with someone like that. The necklace is beautiful she is going to love wearing it and admiring your card; each will make her feel special. A big year for her from coronation to Diamond Jubilee. Thank you for sharing. Vee xx
