Out with the Old and in with the New
Well what a mixed bag this year has been. We started it off in early March by losing a very dear member of the family. Then the wedding of my lovely Son and the gorgeous Nina. We then then had a birth, our lovely wee Great nephew Ryan. So we had a Hatched Matched and Dispatched year, but in the reverse order.
So I thought I would show you the last Card I made for this year, and the first card made for the next year. So we are off and running. Will try to keep ahead of trouble, and hope you all do the same. Happy New Year to all of my lovely Blogland friends. Here's hoping it is all you wish for and more. Thanks for keeping my spirits up when I have needed it. I'll raise my glass to you all sláinte xxxx

Christmas Candle partie deux
I have had another go this time with a smaller candle. I used another of the stamps form the set Elaine bought me. I love them. This one is a much more delicate image and doesn't photo very well. But I think it is pretty. Again I used JS detail EP .
The two of them together don't look to bad do they??
Let me know what you think xxx

Christmas Candle
This is my very first attempt at decorating a candle. I have to say I am quite pleased with it. The photo does not do it justice.
Using versamark I stamped an image (one of a set that I was given by Elaine for my birthday) on to the mat side of a piece of regular tissue paper.. I then used some fine detail antique gold embossing powder from Joanna Sheen, then very carefully heated it. I then wrapped the image around large candle. Then wrapped this with a sheet of parchment paper. Then heated it until I could see it change colour. I then removed the parchment and buffed up the candle with a clean soft cloth, and voila.
Please let me know what you think of it xx

Lovely Day
I had a lovely day today. It was my Husbands 71st birthday. He was in less pain today so that helped. Kieron and Sarah came and bought their Dad some lovely pressies. Along with some lovely chocolates. One box of which we have already finished off. lol They were most definitely moorish. It was lovely to see them both together. It doesn't happen often. Sarah was not well but came anyway. I think she would walk on hot coals for her Daddy. I am looking forward to tomorrow now. Kieron and his lovely wife Nina will be coming to lunch. This is the card I made for Terence just a simple card. He doesn't like fussy, and Mens cards are so hard to do anyway
The topper is from a Joanna Sheen cd. The words are very special to me. We have to hang on to our memories. One day it may be all we have.

Sarah's Birthday
I made this card for Sarah's birthday. I used an inkylicious stamp I have had for a while. along with an oriental lady. I have had this stamp for a couple of years but never used it. The roses are made using a punch and Centura Ice white pearlised paper.. The card turned out quite well. but I wasn't able to get a good photo. the light just kept bouncing back at me.

Hello everyone I am really thrilled to have received two awards from a fellow blogger Trudi (TrudiScrumptious), The Sunshine Award and The Lovely Blog Award. (These are the first I have ever received)
Both of these awards come with some rules:
I am to publicly thank the people who gave them to me. I am to share some information about myself
I am to nominate some of my favorite blogs
I am to comment on their blogs to let them know I’ve awarded them.
The One Lovely Blog award asks me to share 7 facts about myself while the Sunshine Award has some specific questions for me to answer.
The Sunshine Award questions will effectively cover the 7 facts about me.
Favorite color: Blue
Favorite animal: Baby Elephant
Favorite number: 13
Favorite drink: Brandy & Lemonade
Facebook or Twitter: definitely Facebook
Good book or good movie: Book
Giving or getting gifts: Giving especially to family and close friends
My passion: Without a shadow of a doubt it is my family
Favorite day: with my son and daughter on their own.
Favorite flower: I don’t have a favourite I love all flowers.
Well, hopefully I haven't bored you, now it's my turn to nominate these awards to some bloggers that have not only inspired me, but also supported me when I've needed it and we all need a bit of that at sometimes, so without much further ado I announce:
1. http://glitterarti1.blogspot.co.uk/
2. http://jayellecards.blogspot.co.uk/
3. http://doodlesandscrapsofme.blogspot.co.uk/
I have given these 3 lovely ladies these awards because. Of many reasons.
Jane for giving me the 1st chance as a DT member. She does so much when not well.
Barbara For her crafty inspiration. She also pushed me to do a blog.
Janet for being Janet.
Barbara Janet and Elaine ( who doesn't have a blog for me to award.) Have been more than friends to me over the last few years. They have helped me through some unbelievably bad times. They are more like sisters, and I love them loads xxx

Tic Tac Toe
Hi all I haven't had time to blog for ages, I still don't, but I have just remembered I should have put my DT effort for The Cupboard Trilogy on today. I need a minder lol.
This month is called Tic Tac Toe, because the challenge is to pick a line either anyway as long as it is straight. and the descriptions on that line is what you use to do your card or in my case a Scrapbook page. The line I chose was Bright colours Flowers and Ribbon. I hope you like my effort and that you have a go at the challenge.

Sisters in the Park
Hi all I hope you nip over to TCT challenge. It is a nice one this month. It's all about embossing, be it dry with a folder, or with embossing powders and stamps. Or as in my case, a digitally embossed piece of work This is the first time I have done this, and I admit it was quite tricky. I hope someone has a go at it as well, and enters the challenge.
This is a photo of my sister and me in the local park a few years ago lol I am the elder one, far more ladylike than my younger sibling. We are sitting in the Coronation gardens.

Wedded Bliss
42 years ago tomorrow, we said I do. For better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. It has been a bumpy road some of the way. But I am glad we stuck it out. We have two fantastic kids. a wonderful Son in law, and a beautiful new Daughter in law. What more could we want. Never been rich, but we have never been poor. Just have to battle with ill health. But we will get there.
Here is the card I made for my husband, for the occasion. I hope you like it. I know he will, no matter what it looks like. He will put it in a box, with all the other cards I have made for him.
Please feel free to leave a comment

The base card is white linen, topped with pale green/pale lemon pearlised card. Backing papers are from the cd as well. This page is in remembrance of my gorgeous dog Sandy. We were lucky to have him from 8 weeks to 14 years. We lost him 12 years ago and I still miss him. He wasn't a bit of use, just another mouth to feed. but he was a gorgeous gentle soul.
The backing paper, material, frame and embellishments are from various Digikits. Especially the very latest Petal Fresh from the Nitwits collection. The frame and material and scroll came from this one.
I hope you enjoy what I have made. Thanks for looking

A nice day.
Well I have had a nice day. The sun has been shining all day here so far. I actually got my washing dry outside, without the usual mad scramble to get it in in out of the rain. I paid a visit to my friend with Leukemia. Thankfully she is doing very well. To say that we live just a few doors away, we don't see much of each other. We have booked up with some more friends to see Phantom at B'ham Hip, next April. Had to get the tickets before they sold out. Anyway it is another of my friends birthday next Mon, and she is the reason we are going, she is the only one of the group that hasn't seen Phantom. This card is for her, in her favourite colours. I do hope she doesn't think it's a bit drab. This image, and backing paper are from (you will never guess) yep, Joanna Sheen lol It's from her Nostalgia cd. I do so adore all her cd's.
Please let me know if you think it is a bit drab, and if so, any suggestions would be welcomed. xxx

Good Times
Hi all. I was just sitting here wondering why everything happens at once be it good or bad. Terence and I have had more than our fair share of bad lately. We are so due some good. Well we did have a really good time a couple of months ago, when our Son got married. Hopefully all the bad has gone away, if not for good at least for a dam good break lol. I had nothing to do, then, whoa, you know what they say be careful what you wish for. I was selected to be on the Cupboard Trilogy DT for my Digital scrapbooking. To say I am chuffed in a vast understatement. Then I got orders for 50th birthday cards 3 needed urgently. 2 more birthday cards and a wedding day card. Then I get invited to do a stall at a craft fair I did at Christmas. Then I am asked if I can maybe do wedding stationery, for a friend of the wee girl I did it for before. Phew .Well we all knows what happens then Mojo goes on extended leave. The next good thing is the house will be full for Fathers day. That will cheer Terence up. Well I have succeeded in making one of the 50th and here it is.
I do hope you like this card. It is an A4. Another Joanna Sheen image and backing paper, are from the Enchanted Dream cd. Ribbon is my bargain £1 roll from Crafty Ribbons. and the flowers and leaves are some that the lovely Marilyn sent me.
Please leave me a comment if you wish xxx

One year on.
I find it hard to believe that a whole year has now gone by, since I made the wedding Stationery for this lovely young couple. They have had a very, very, hard year. So glad they stayed together through all of it.
Sorry it is all on the squiff. I was rushing because OH was hovering to take it off me, and put it in the post. Well that's my excuse. If you look back at more of my pics, they are probably all a bit squiffy lol

Lavender and Lace
This a card I made a while back, for a friend of mine. It seems to fit the Lavender and Lace challenge on Joanna's Sheens Blog. .
The image is a John P.W. Furse from the RHS cd. I have used my beloved lace again. The flowers are from the embellishments on that cd. John P.W. Furse is one of my favourite illustrators on this cd. Though they are all excellent.
Please feel free to leave a comment. It is very much appreciated. xx
